Food Safety ISO 22000 - HACCP Compliance

this standard is related to the implementation of a Food Safety Management System (FSMS). This standard is applicable to all the actors of the Food Chain "from Farm to Fork" going through the manufacturing, transportation, storage, distribution and packaging.

ISO 22000 gives the requirements in Food Safety by introducing the HACCP principles as per the PRP’s - Pre-Requis Programmes. PRP’s are the basic Hygiene rules needed to maintain a work environment adequate to the product processing (i.e. GHP - Good Hygiene Practices, etc.)

Another advantage, ISO 22000 extends the application of management systems of ISO 9001:2008 that do not specifically address food safety to develop a comprehensive and systemic approach of the quality of the products and on the safety of foodstuffs.
